Text Box: VENUE and DATE CHANGE
Gone With The Wind Regatta 2005
Text Box: As you all are aware we have been working hard to secure an area where we can provide camping as well as a venue for our regatta. The Corps of Engineers would not allow us access to the old campground after it closes this year. We pulled together and worked to secure our access with Lake Lanier Sailing Club and their camping area. We will have our own registration, trophies and race course, but combined dinner and party on Saturday night.

RV’s and CAMPING
Due to out of town Catalina 22 boat parking and needing space for all trailers, we’re asking that RV’s make other arrangements for camping and will not be allowed to stay overnight. See www.reserveusa.com to reserve a campsite at Old Federal Campground. Sites 19-24,41-43, 76-78 are relatively close to LLSC so that you could walk between them.

Camping at LLSC will be charged and is first come, first serve. There is space for about 10 Tent or smaller vehicle camping. No camping on the beach and campfires have a designated area. Cost for Tent Camping $20 for the weekend. The clubhouse has a bathroom but showers are in a separate bathhouse close to the ramp at Area A.

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PROPTERTY.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
We will be launching the catamarans out of Area A ramp closest to the clubhouse. Trailers will be stored in the gravel parking area above the clubhouse and camping starts off to the right of that area.
Registration Opens Friday from 7pm-9pm and 9am-10am Saturday—$40 Crewed Cats, $25 Single
(This includes 1 T-shirt and meal tickets for skipper and crew.)
Additional Meal/Party Tickets $15 per person, Children $10
Additional T-shirts available for purchase

DIRECTIONS and WEB SITES:
From I-85 take Exit for Hwy 53 go West until you cross under I-985 (Mundy Mill Rd exit #16). Keep going West until you dead end at McEver Rd. Go left, past West Hall High School. Next traffic light is Jim Crowe Rd. turn Right. You will pass the Day Use Area for Old Federal, within a half a mile a white fence will come up on your left, you will then see the entrance for Lake Lanier Sailing Club (Red/Green lights on the fence posts). Turn left into the Club Property, then straight back until the road dead ends at the club. Please be considerate of the amount of rigging space you use as the area will get congested and turn around is minimal. There is beach area around the point from the ramp to leave boats until racing starts as well as over night.
